The large stables

Stabling is provided for up to 14 horses in large airy American barns to allow ample ventilation whilst providing a clean, dry working environment for grooming etc. Stables are brick built with Loddon fronts to allow horses to see each other within the barn and yet allow privacy within their own stable.

Stable detail - rubber matting with straw bed

Stables are large (some at 16ft) and some have dual aspect – especially good if horses are on convalescence /rehabilitation programmes. All stables have complete rubber floors to minimise injury but a full bed is provided for maximum comfort.

Full size sand and rubber arena

There is a full size sand and rubber arena which provides an excellent surface for flatwork or jumping. In addition, during the summer months, a jumping paddock is available to enhance your jumping skills. Tuition / schooling is also available on site with Juliet Penwarden should it be required.

Solarium wash down area

A solarium and wash-down area is available. This is fully rubber matted for safety. The solarium is ideal for warming up muscles prior to exercises or relaxing after a work-out. Also, very useful when washing and drying off or for vet / physio visits.

Lush green paddocks with post and rail fencing

All year turnout is available in secure post and rail paddocks. Horses are turned out in small groups to reduce the chance of injury, or can have individual turnout if required. Careful management and light soil provide optimum grazing with very little mud! Fields are regularly muck cleared and harrowing, rolling, topping, fertilising and spraying are carried out when needed. A comprehensive worming programme is in use under vet guidance and worm counts are taken annually to ensure its efficacy.

Interior of the Tack Room

Liveries have the use of the secure, alarmed tack room with their own storage facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities are also available. A separate area for rug drying exists.

There is superb hacking on miles of bridleways, farm tracks and quiet country lanes in a beautiful location. Ideal for a leisurely weekend hack, bringing on young horses or for getting competition horses fit.
